This tour can be combined with several nights extension at Zanzibar.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Tarangire or Manyara National Park safari

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its impressive Ancient Baobab trees that dominate the landscape, making animals seem small in comparison. The park’s river teems with diverse wildlife, including birds, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and notably, a large elephant population. It offers a unique opportunity to observe interactions among elephant families. The lunch area, featuring a scenic observatory overlooking the river, provides an excellent chance to witness wildlife, potentially even a hunt, during your picnic. An afternoon game drive precedes reaching your overnight accommodation.

Day 2 & 3 Serengeti National Park safari

After an early breakfast, embark on a long but breathtaking journey to the iconic Serengeti National Park. The vastness of the park, spanning 6,900 square miles (18,000 sq. km), will astound you as the endless plains seem to stretch infinitely to the horizon. This area is famous for the Great Migration, with 2 million wildebeests, numerous zebras, and various antelope species. It’s also a prime location for observing big cats and other predators, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, with notable scenes from television shows, like river crossings, being filmed here. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a lodge of your choosing, catering to your preferences and budget.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park, Olduvai and Ngorongoro safari

Begin the day with an early wake-up call for a morning game drive, the best time to observe active wildlife and experience a stunning sunrise. After the game drive, enjoy a satisfying brunch back at the camp. Then, the journey continues to the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the 8th wonder of the natural world. This vast crater spans 102 square miles and boasts 2,000-foot-high walls, creating a virtual Noah’s Ark that houses a diverse range of indigenous East African wildlife. It’s a rare place to spot the elusive black Rhino. The crater’s features include a river, swamps, a soda lake with numerous flamingos, a forest, and open plains. Ngorongoro is renowned for its enormous elephants with massive tusks. It’s a true natural wonder. For the night, you’ll stay at the Sopa Lodge or other lodges in the vicinity.

Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater safari

Commence the day with an early descent into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable morning of wildlife observation in this breathtaking location. Following the game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch by the picturesque hippo pool lake. A brief afternoon game drive is scheduled before ascending the crater and departing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Arusha. The anticipated return time to Arusha is approximately 5pm, with flexibility for any specific travel needs, such as catching a flight or addressing unforeseen circumstances.
